- The Bodhisattva of Compassion, Kwan Yin, also known as Guanyin, is seated in a relaxed position on a lotus base with her robes loosely hanging off the base with a small child nestling against her chest
- The child holds a Ruyi Scepter (or "wish Stick"), a talisman symbolizing power and good fortune
- While holding a child, Quan Yin fully displays her maternal qualities and embodies the mother goddess
- Her hair is up on a bun on top of her head, and she wears a crown with an image of Amitabha Buddha
- The infant she holds is Maitreya, the "Buddha That is to Come."
